About Our School
We aim high at St. John the Baptist School. Whether it’s in academics, arts, athletics or even parent involvement, we have high expectations and celebrate achievement. Our parish and school work in harmony to create the ultimate learning environment. We also offer a strong athletic program and a broad range of electives, giving our students a well-rounded education that will take them to the next level.
St. John the Baptist school is over 100 years old. It started as a four-room school in 1888. The current school has 21 rooms, a new gymnasium, library, computer center, meeting area and cafeteria. St. John the Baptist Catholic School has been a member of the GRACE system since 2012 and is accredited by the Wisconsin Religious & Independent School Association (WRISA).
St. John the Baptist School is proud of its Catholic faith and collaborates closely with St. John the Baptist parish. Students attend weekly Mass and have regular religion class. Faith and prayer is integrated throughout the day, and we celebrate our Christian holidays.
We have a very strong academic program with proven results. Our students consistently place in the top ten of their graduating high school classes at both Notre Dame Academy and Bayport. Our math, science and Spanish programs prepare students for advanced courses in high school, and our students consistently outscore local and national averages on standardized tests.
The most distinguishing characteristic of our school is the strong community and sense of family. Our average class size is 18, allowing students and families to grow together and have their needs met. Many activities take place for families and students to grow in faith and in Christian relationships.
